VISION BOARDS

"Dream and give yourself permission to envision a You that you choose to be".
(Joy Page)

Vision Boards enable us to see the real-life possibility of ourselves doing and being what we dream about. It is okay if you don't believe it at all in the beginning... in fact that might be part of the process.

I do believe that we have to see it, and know it to be true far before it is actualized in the flesh. Over time, you really will start to see it and believe it... and then eventually you will know it. This is when the magic really happens. But everything is about the journey, so take it one moment at a time.

I have heard many successful people say that they "believed it and knew it" far before it ever came true "in real life"....  Here are some quotes that come to mind...

"I always knew I was going to be rich. I don't think I doubted it for a minute."
(Warren Buffet)

"But I've always been famous; it is just that nobody knew...."
(Lady Gaga)

"I'd be lying if I haven't made a version of this speech before I was 8 years old and staring into the bathroom mirror. And this would have been a shampoo bottle."
(Kate Winslet, as she holds up her Oscar.)

A Vision Board How-To

You can easily make a vision board by cutting and pasting personal pictures, drawings, photos, and cut-outs from magazines. You can also use Photoshop or Illustrator, or some other digital image software.  There are also vision board creator websites online. The images should inspire you at the deepest level, and put you in a positive emotional state.

"Almost everything serious is difficult; and everything is serious."
(Rainer Maria Rilke from Letters to a Young Poet)

In order to succeed, you need to start taking yourself and your work very seriously. Your vision board should reflect this.

"Respect your efforts, respect yourself. Self-respect leads to self-discipline. When you have both firmly under your belt, that's real power. "
 (Clint Eastwood)

Dare to create what you really want in your life. Be creative, and always, "Dream big, dream kind."
