WHAT IS A MICRO-LOAN?
"A micro-loan is a small loan extended to an individual or a small business in order to propel entrepreneurship. Traditional microfinance institutions have focused their energies on developing countries such as India, Bangladesh, and countries throughout Africa. Through microfinance, these institutions have supplied loans, savings, and other basic financial services to the poor." (CGAP)
HOW DOES AIA DIFFER FROM OTHER MICRO-FINANCE INSTITUTIONS?
OTHER MICRO-FINANCE INSTITUTIONS focus on "serving the poor". AIA serves American entrepreneurs in need of financing.
HOW DO I QUALIFY FOR A MICRO-LOAN?
AIA lends to money to small businesses, not individuals. U.S. based entrepreneurs who have legally registered small businesses -- TAX ID Number, LLC's, INC's, DBA's, etc.
If you don't have one, don't be discouraged. Our Angel Coaches can help you get set up.
To Qualify, an American Entrepreneur has to prove:
a) Legal Citizenship in the United States
b) Proof of identification -- Driver's license, Social Security number, etc
c) Proof of legal business registration in the United States

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO "SPEND TO LEND?"
Generous Americans who we call Angels SPEND TO LEND.
They click on an entrepreneur, choose a SPEND AMOUNT
Spend amounts vary, from $5 to $1000, depending on the value of the featured PRODUCT.
For their SPEND, they receive a PRODUCT
+ AIA lends 60% or more of every SPEND to an AMERICAN ENTREPRENEUR seeking a micro-loan.
DO I GET MY MONEY BACK IF I "SPEND TO LEND?"
No. It is a PURCHASE, and for your PURCHASE, you receive a PRODUCT.
WHAT IS A DIRECT ANGEL LENDER?
AIA also gives our generous Angels the chance to lend money via peer-to-peer lending.
I.e. ANGEL lends $25 OR MORE to an AIA ENTREPRENEUR,
and DOES GET THEIR MONEY BACK once the Entrepreneur is in the REPAYMENT PHASE.
IF I AM A DIRECT ANGEL LENDER, AND I MAKE A DIRECT LOAN, DO I GET MY MONEY BACK?
Yes.
IF I AM A DIRECT ANGEL LENDER, DO I GET INTEREST?
Yes.

HOW RISKY IS THIS BUSINESS? WILL I DEFINITELY GET MY MONEY BACK?
Micro-finance has an incredible repayment rate.
On any working day Grameen collects an average of $1.5 million in weekly installments. Of the borrowers, 94% are women and over 98% of the loans are paid back, a recovery rate higher than any other banking system.
IF I NEED A CAR LOAN, CAN I GET ONE?
No. Sorry. AIA only lends to American small businesses in need of financing to grow their companies.

WHAT IS THE DAILY DOWNLOAD?
The Daily Download is a daily song chosen by Team Angel, and directly marketed to our constituents and social networks.
It is part of our FEATURED SPEND program.
The payment structure is tiered, and is chosen by the Musician/Band AKA "Product Vendor".

A) TIER ONE:
$0.99 (Ninety-nine cents US):
Musician/Band AKA "Product Vendor" agrees to let Angel AC sell its song(s) for $0.99 (ninety nine cents), and split the net proceeds 50% (Angel AC) - 50% (Product Vendor). Angel AC receives fifty percent of the net proceeds, Product Vendor receives fifty percent of the net proceeds.
B) TIER TWO:
$2.00 (Two US dollars):
Product Vendor agrees to let Angel AC sell said product(s) for $2.00 (two US dollars), and split the net proceeds 60% (Angel AC) - 40% (Product Vendor). Angel AC receives sixty percent of the net proceeds, Product Vendor receives forty percent of the net proceeds.
In turn, Angel AC is committed to lending 60% (sixty percent) or more of the retained net proceeds back to U.S. based Entrepreneurs.
C) TIER THREE:
$3.00 (Three US dollars):
Product Vendor agrees to let Angel AC sell said product(s) for $3.00 (three US dollars), and split the net proceeds 60% (Angel AC) - 40% (Product Vendor). Angel AC receives sixty percent of the net proceeds, Product Vendor receives forty percent of the net proceeds.
In turn, Angel AC is committed to lending 60% (sixty percent) or more of the net proceeds of the retained sales price back to U.S. based Entrepreneurs.
